BootStrapToday now supports e-mail Interface to provide further ease of use. You can now create tickets, comment on tickets and share documents on-the-go through email. Let me illustrate this functionality with an example. Suppose you are at an airport and you want to share some document with your team and comment on the ticket at the same time. This is now possible through an email. You don’t have to login into the system to perform the above actions. Just send an email and everything gets done. It’s as simple as that! For adding the comment just reply to the email notification you received for ticket creation. The attachments in the email are also saved with ticket and uploaded into the SVN.
So, now following operations are possible through email interface:
1. Creating tickets for a project
2. Adding comments to a ticket
2. Adding comments to a ticket
3. Sharing documents/attachments with the team
Below is the email format for creating tickets and adding comments:
<Project Short Name>@<subdomain>.bootstraptoday.com
Illustration of BootStrapToday’s email interface:
Say,
the ‘Account’ at BootStrapToday is : testAccount
and ‘Project Short Name’ is : abcd
and ‘Project Short Name’ is : abcd
An email to abcd@testAccount.bootstraptoday.com creates a ticket with ticket-subject as email-subject and ticket-description as email-body. The attachment in email gets added to ticket and saved in svn. And you get confirmation emails as usual.
A reply to abcd@testAccount.bootstraptoday.com creates a comment, and here also we handle attachments.
Team BootStrapToday hopes that this feature is helpful to you. Please share your feedback with us.
